Equilibrium

Equilibrium is a kinetic installation composed of a set of motorized laser levels. Traditionally emblematic of precision and control in the construction of space, these tools are stripped of their functional purpose, transformed into autonomous, moving agents.

The kinetic sculptures react and interact with their surroundings, amplifying this cartesian gesture dictated by the laser, and constantly trying to link it to the organic movement of the public, amplifying the illusion of control while revealing its instability.

Through this play of tensions, the installation explores the ways we impose structure on space, our desire to dominate and rationalize it, and how these gestures of control coexist with impermanence—highlighting the tension between human ambition and the unpredictability of the spaces we inhabit.
